KUCHING: Sarawak is moving in the right direction with its embrace of Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) and adaptation to new technology.
Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd group chief executive officer Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah said the state’s policy of openness, good leadership and political stability would help its progress and become ready for global competition.
He said technology was vital for an organisation to increase its efficiency and productivity, as well as stay ahead.
“In this regard, and with the policy of openness by the government, the private sector can adapt to the changing environment without any constraints,” he said at the Beyond Paradigm Summit 2019 in Pullman Kuching.
The summit by Serba Dinamik and themed ‘Creating Distinctive Digital Solutions’ was also held in Kuala Lumpur from July 17-18 where it was launched by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
He said the aim of the summit was to help industry players familiarise themselves with new technology which could help with company operations.
The two-day summit is a showcase of cutting edge technology for automation and data exchange pertaining to IR 4.0.
Its primary goal is to gather together businesses that have been working on adopting small-scale IR 4.0 solutions to discuss concepts, generate great ideas as well as implement them to change Malaysia’s digital landscape. – Bernama
