[ad_1] “In keeping up with the current trends among Malaysian Youth with the emergence and popularity of Electronic Sport nationwide, My Ministry is working closely with Sarawak Esports Association (SESA) and other NGOs to promote Esports in Sarawak. The initiative will strategically assist My Ministry in ensuring that we are at par with other states in Malaysia in the development of local talents and continues promotion of the sports throughout Sarawak. This strategic partnership, paved the possibility of having local youth representing Malaysia in high level Esports tournament globally.

In 2019, several grassroots level programs have been planned by SESA and other NGOs with support by my Ministry especially in educating and increasing the awareness level among the masses with regards to the sport and provision of expertise and guidance to competitive local gamers. We are determined that we would be able to identify and develop more local talents in the near future.”
