HOPE. A short yet very powerful word that lets us cherish a desire with anticipation. Tho many of us are suffering with the current pandemic, we can choose to follow rules, get vaccinated and help flatten the curve. Yet what we tend to forget is, how they are some among us who battle with life, especially cancer patients at a very young age who may question themselves, “why me?”
I can’t imagine how strong their parents would need to be getting their child through the cancer journey. It’s a STRENGTH that probably only God can answer.
At @subangjaya_medicalcentre I had the chance to meet this little girl, 8 years old but tall, loves Frozen the movie and to sing; learned to play the violin, loves the colour pink – she wore a pink dress today. I could tell that she is very close to her father, they were so warm and she said something that made me smile. She said someday she wants to be Miss Malaysia ?. And so I told her you can be Miss Malaysia, and that she would inspire people with her story.
My experience in getting to know cancer patients and survivors’ cancer journey at Subang Jaya Medical Centre was priceless. What have I learned from the experience? We should all get ourselves screened! To all cancer patients, you are stronger than you think. Never give up hope, you’re doing an amazing job! ?
Help yourself, get yourself checked, think of your loved ones. Do not fall short of information on health screenings, cancer treatments, etc.
Follow @subangjayamedicalcentre and start your journey towards staying healthy.
