In line with the State Government vision to position Sarawak as a major tourist destination using digital technologies, a local Startup has developed the Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Technology for tourism hotspots is Sarawak
The digital technologies founded and developed by a Sarawakian’s Company, Aerovetics Sdn Bhd (“Aerovetics”) seek to promote Sarawak Digital Tourism through the usage of Virtual Reality (VR) platform.
According to Aerovetics spokesperson, “Digital Tourism is the use and application of digital tools to improve and support the tourist experience”.
Through virtual reality platform, the user will be able to experience the immersive 360 virtual reality of tourist hotspots that can be found in Sarawak. The VR exhibition sees several users experienced the immersion of several hotspots like Floating Mosque of Masjid Darul Hana, Darul Hana Bridge and Old Kuching Heritage. With ultra-vibrant colors and uberrealistic sounds, the VR Digital Tourism deliver realistic experience unlike any other. Hence, create a world that transports you to any scene in split seconds.
As the State’s moving towards embracing Industrial Revolution 4.0, Aerovetics aim to become the pioneer in revolutionize the way tourism industry operates by capitalizing on digital technologies such Virtual realities.
