Malaysia suspends Boeing 737 MAX 8 operations with immediate effect

KUALA LUMPUR: The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) has suspended the operations of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft flying into and out, as well as transiting in Malaysia effective immediately until further notice. This is in the wake of two fatal crashes involving the aircraft in less than five months, its chief executive officer, Ahmad Nizar Zolfakar said yesterday.
