KUCHING: Sarawak Esports Association (Sesa) yesterday appreciated the remarks of Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican that Sarawak is serious in developing the esports industry in the state. The global integrated engineering services provider said the 68.78-hectare yard had the capacity to perform steel fabrication of offshore platforms and other structures of up to 50,000 tonnes. “Due to its close proximity with Petronas’ Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID), an integrated oil and gas hub in Pengerang, the proposed acquisition represents an opportunity for the Serba Dinamik group to venture into the marine and offshore services segment in a strategic location,” the offshore upstream player said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Friday.
