This week, Weststar Aviation Services Sdn. Bhd. and EDDS has come up with mutual agreement between industry and academia perspective for exploring more enhancement towards better quality of work productivity and technology.
Last Tuesday, EDDS team was invited to discuss and create more opportunities at Weststar Aviation Services office in Kuala Lumpur. This engagement was a result of the discussion made between Weststar HUMS Manager, Mr Shariman and EDDS project leader, Dr Mohd Amzar during International Applied Vibration Conference which both of them were the invited speaker for the conference. During this conference, they discussed about the potential collaboration between the two parties.
EDDS team leader, Dr Mohd Amzar said “we need more research to be done by looking at the vibration seat of pilot and also vibration from helicopter itself”. He added, as the phase 1 of the collaboration project between Weststar and EDDS, data collection from the daily fitness maintenance crew and flying crew need to be collected for research and monitoring purposes.“For the time being, EDDS can be implemented for ground vehicle with proven accuracy research database collection”, said Mr Ahmad Rashide, General Manager of Engineering Department for Weststar Aviation Sdn Bhd.
The meeting was attended by Mr Ahmad Rashide, Mr Shahriman, Capt Mohamed Sharif and Vice Admiral (RTD) Datuk Jamil Osman, Domestic Operation Manager from Weststar Aviation Sdn Bhd and also joined by Mr Abdul Qaiyum who represents Serba Dinamik together with Startup Borneo council member Mr Asyraf Niza. The outcome from this meeting was positive and EDDS is looking forward to working together with Weststar Aviation Services, a global leading offshore helicopter company.
