KUCHING, 28 MARCH: The Sarawak Esport Association (SESA) was officially launched earlier this week. SESA has created history by becoming the first E-Sport Association to be registered under the Sarawak Sports Commissioner’s Office on 17th April this year. SESA is also officially endorsed by Ministry Of Tourism Arts Culture Youth and Sports Sarawak and Sarawak Sports Corporation.

Competitive gamers from Sarawak now have access to a governing body that regulates the local esports industry which also provides support to groom quality local gamers to represent the state of Sarawak in the national and international arena. SESA’s vision is to be recognized as one of leading and successful E-Sport entities in Malaysia with the mission to develop E-Sport industry for the state of Sarawak. As an E-Sport body, SESA aims are to foster future Malaysian talent, to increase awareness of esports and provide expertise and advise to competitive gamers. We are focused on the grassroots level of esports and hoping to help educate the masses – including parents, teachers, media and government – about what esports stands for and its benefits.
