A global blockchain acceleration network FinTech4Good becomes the first fintech platform in the world to partner with Sarawak in collaboration with RESONICS Consultancy
(Kuching, Sarawak – 21 November 2017) – A global fintech and blockchain acceleration network FinTech4Good created tech startup history today, by partnering with RESONICS Consultancy on blockchain and fintech initiatives in East Malaysia region. RESONICS Consultancy is a consulting firm and an industry player operating in Kuching, Sarawak.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed today at 13th WIEF 2017 conference in Borneo Convention Centre Kuching between representatives of FinTech4Good LLC and RESONICS Consultancy, Xiaochen Zhang and Abdul Qaiyum Alidin, and were witnessed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Sri Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, the Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and the Chairman of WIEF Foundation, Tun Musa Hitam.

This MoU signing is to officiate the partnership between FinTech4Good and RESONICS Consultancy, to assist Sarawak on introducing fintech and blockchain as an alternative for traditional solutions, and to accelerate entrepreneurship and community development in East Malaysia. FinTech4Good will utilize the spaces in Sarawak especially Kuching as a hub for scaling up blockchain and distributed ledger technologies at the same time to tap into East Malaysia’s pool of talent and start-ups.
FinTech4Good is further co-developing a Global Digital Economy Hub, in which Hub members are investing in some of the most impactful fintech and blockchain startups all over the world. The Hub will enable members and their portfolio companies to scale up their impact globally with easy access to local ecosystems. In partnership with RESONICS Consultancy, FinTech4Good aim to bring global blockchain experts, venture capital and innovative solutions to enable the emergence of a Malaysia Digital Economy Hub.
